A lot of wisdom in this piece.

It's as if we hold up an empty frame, look through to the panorama before us, and try to draw conclusions about the panorama based on what we see through the frame.

Or when there is no frame, instead a companion points to one mountain out of many in the distance and asks me "see that mountain?" and I reply "which mountain? I can't tell which specific mountain you're pointing at." Sometimes however hard they try to to specify, it doesn't come across.

The only purpose in life I've found is to fill as many moments with meaning as I can. The hard is figuring out how to let go of surviving and thriving for a (safe) moment, forget what I've heard or been told means something, and see what lifts me.
