Agreed! The perpetrators of those crimes against humanity were bad Christians, evil people. The one small pushback is that Jesus didn't teach people to do that. He taught the polar opposite. So don't blame Christianity :)

I wonder if in the Dark Ages the the spirit of the Germanic warlords merged witth the imperial arrogance of the Roman empire to create the greedy, bloodthirsty, arrogant, power-hungry European culture that didn't begin to relent until arguably the 20th century.
