Did anyone read Luay Rahil's profile? "I study how the top 1% live, work & lead, and turn their winning habits into easy-to-use routines you can use for life and business." This completely explains his article and the assumptions that underlie it.

It goes back to the saying "if you're so smart, how come you ain't rich?" As if the top 1% in self-made wealth are the top 1% in smarts. Some are smart, but plenty are in the 1% because they are bullies, frauds, scammers, egomaniacs, cheats, greedy and narrow-minded. Those correlations are probably as significant as smarts. If they "win" it's mainly because they are alpha males -- and who needs those?
