Ditto what Charles Hitt said!

I like what Charlie Parker said, I think it's true, and that's all I need to know about it. It's certainly my experience improvising music, and in some other things. It's not so much pleasurable as the absence of stress, by getting out of my head and into the task.

Re Charlie Parker, hopefully it's known to all that he was the Jimi Hendrix of his day. Calling him a "jazz great" as Kounios did doesn't do his stature justice. :)
