Despite Plato's many strengths, his philosophy seems overly mystical, especially compared to the empirical Aristotle or some of pre-Socratics. Heidegger at least tried to bring back Parmenides as Carlo Rovelli tried to do for Anaximander. Plato's idealism might be considered a toxic element in western culture, compared to his predecessors.
