Great read as always! Glad to know I’m not the only kook out there. So thank you for making the case there is “method to your madness” in playing with Legos.

I used to watch my now-grown son exercise his imagination and creativity with Legos. He had about 2 cubic feet of pieces. I still have the many photos I took of his stunningly elaborate, wild, and symmetrically ordered military vehicles, monsters and freeform structures, and once took him to a LegoLand. (He now has a marketing position in an energy drink company. )

My problem is thoughts ricocheting in my head when I need to settle down and write coherently, so I play Minesweeper, set at 600 squares with 160 mines (“hard” is 480 squares with 100 mines) to force me to focus and order my thinking to “survive” as many moves as possible.
