Hi Graham, I just have a simple thought to bring up. Perhaps the first step before tackling any of these questions is "to what extent do you believe in the principles of science -- specifically the principle of repeatable results?"

The harsh expression of this principle might be "if it isn't readily repeatable, forget it." The mild expression might be be "if it isn't readily repeatable, it's all speculation." It might be good to decide one's feelings about this principle before diving into any specific topic.

I'm always fascinated by ideas with some evidence or plausibility. I also think both scientists and anti-scientists play a little fast and loose on the margins.

We are probably on the same page in not welcoming pro-science people over-privileging their speculations versus contrary speculations.
