I confess having trouble embracing a connected view of existence. If we’re biological entities with thought produced by our brains, why would we decide some thoughts are truer than others? That some align with the cosmos and some are counter to it? The answer I sense being presented is that our inner conflicts are a sign of something going wrong. I tend to think inner conflict is natural and doesn’t deserve such negative judgments. I’m tempted to believe our minds are designed to figure out how to survive and thrive. That’s a messy uncomfortable process. Maybe it’s wishful to think there is an alternative? I’d love to see this point of view engaged and picked apart.
