I know a lot of people think Dems are as bad as Pubs, because they kowtow to lobbyists and capitalism. But that kowtowing is a practice (quite entrenched) but it is not a philosophy (even if it is a platform. That practice could evaporate as climate problems become more urgent (but perhaps not evaporating fast enough).

More importantly, a portion of the Dem base supports aggressive climate action (consider AOC). That part of the base still prefers and defends the status quo, but it's quite possible they would make serious sacrifices to address the problem.

I'm not predicting or trusting anything, just saying the distinction between practice and philosophy is significant to these issues and its discussion.
