I pay $35 for symphony tickets. The orchestra is world class. Many if not most of the rock concerts I want to go to start their tickets at double that amount. Three-digit prices are common.

I understand and agree with the point the author is making. The problem is perpetuating a false stereotype that can steer people away from truly good music.
