I'm happy with the idea that faster than light travel is impossible. (I'd love to visit other planets, but I don't even want to get on an airliner any more, talk about time-warps waiting in TSA lines or waiting for takeoff permission.) I can speculate about non-biological lifeforms that can transcend time, but in the meantime I'm invested in living on this planet with my current DNA, where we were built to survive for several decades dealing with the challenges here. Even if we got to another planet, would our senses be able to appreciate its beauties? And consider we can't wrap our minds around the concepts of infinity or the beginning of time. I guess what I'm saying it is even if we could we go interstellar, is there any reason we could assume the experiences would register with any meaning on us?
