It's great to see and learn about your focus on tacit knowledge. I downloaded the PNAS article you cited in your addendum. Consciousness (I'm a junky too) and what I now know from you is called "tacit learning" are key elements in the ideas in my work on "truth units" (as described in several Medium articles).

I "experienced" tacit learning teaching my kids to drive. Some aspects of driving I could explain in precise detail, other aspects, when they asked about them, I could only say "I don't know how I do it, I just do it."
