Rocco, I think your philosophy about getting out of your comfort zone is right. Off and on, I've lived my life that way, and all you say is true. If I were 20 years younger (your age) I would move to Spain too. (I recently studied where to emigrate, and Spain absolutely was the best fit.) Despite the ugliness of America and my relative poverty, things are too good for me now to emigrate. The deal-clincher is the time it would take to get settled in Spain is too large a fraction of my remaining life. (I'm not being morbid, just practical.) Remember reading in Lord of the Rings about Frodo visiting Bilbo in Rivendell? It's kinda like that.
