Thank you for clearly describing the complex integration of our neural circuits. I think understanding this complexity in general is key for people to become more understanding one another and ourselves, from "why is this person getting upset over nothing?" to "what is consciousness and where does it come from?"

A Medium piece of mine called "Why Are Sunsets Beautiful?" centered around analogy between the brain and the crew of a submarine. Each crew member has a function, but their interactions profoundly affect what the crew does as a whole. Just learning their functions for that reason will not explain the entirety of their actions.
