Further, I don't see how MAGA can be truly understood without psychological analysis, since it's factually and politically incoherent. Also I like your line of questioning to get to the real issues. Perhaps you recall my piece "Truth Units" suggesting a similar line of questioning in a perhaps more "cooperative" format of asking "what is your test?" It wouldn't work with MAGA people, but might lead to a productive, edifying outcome with fence-sitters. Lastly, I wonder if some people join MAGA because MAGA might be the only game in town, and they want to join something.
