I'll throw out a thought -- perhaps one thing eroding our sense of truth is the idea of different kinds of truth. If there are different kinds of truth, how do we know which kind is being invoked in any given moment? And is having different kinds of truth reflect that we don't understand what truth is at a foundational level?
