Thank you for this good read! I haven’t read any of the others in the series. I’d really like to understand Sartre, and have always struggled. When I’m able to follow his thought, I really enjoy his precision and depth. Your style makes reading about Sartre comfortable and approachable. Maybe I will understand more reading the whole series, in lieu of that, it’d be great if you could further unpack or illuminate some of these attributes or subsets or modes of consciousness. I feel like Sartre uses words like “consciousness” that are clear until he takes them to the next level of complexity, like the difference between reflective versus unreflective consciousness (or should is that reflexive vs unreflexive?) that for me is slippery to get a tight grip on.
