Thank you for your thoughtful response! You invited an email reply. I'm too new to Medium to understand where/how to do that. One thought is uncertainty is an existential or biological issue. We have to (and are wired to) keep testing and re-testing our environments to survive so I agree with you, it's just "a descriptive fact." Another thought is about "can our senses be trusted?" That implies a standard against which to measure our senses. Specifically, how does what our senses tell us compare to reality, such that, e.g., our senses are right and can be trusted 80% of the time? We don't have access to reality, for all the reasons you detailed, so we have nothing to compare our senses to, and can only accept them at face value. My writing project is to answer the question "so where do we go from there?" so I understand completely what you said about keeping posts short when there is more that could be said!
