This is just plain exquisite! I've been trying for a few years to understand Husserl, hoping to have gotten various glimmers and insights, but it all ended up feeling like a fog without clear or articulable character. I guess I just wasn't reading the right authors!!
As you say, it's one slice, but it's a very powerful slice -- one that seems like a great place from which to make progress grasping the sweep of his thought. I'm grateful for you opening up this path, and hope it leads to more appreciation of Husserl's ideas among students of philosophy.
