This piece sounds optimistic, although it might not be intended to be. I enjoyed it both as thoughts about a possible future and like a science fiction story (eg, Foundation by Asimov) Lord of Light by Zelazny, plus others).
I wonder about anthropologizing Nature as cruel, monstrous, evil, vicious, or things like that.
I wonder if transhumanism might be an evolution along a spectrum, so we might benefit from it before our evolution is complete.
I wonder if transhumanism would squeeze the greed, etc, out of humanity, or institutionalize greed out potency.
Since greed, etc, is a huge part of our sin against equilibrium with nature and among our species I wonder if it is so much of our essence that it blocks transhumanism, although I hope not.
I hope advances in technology will enable humanity to survive comfortably despite greed, etc, although it's a hail mary prayer, if transhumanism does not arrive first.
