This was a good read. On the one hand, science has explained the seemingly unexplainable (e.g., evolution). On the other hand, new scientific discoveries continue to create new mysteries (e.g., dark matter). So I'd say don't dismiss consciousness in all life and then say it doesn't matter that we can't explain quantum mechanics. In both cases, it seems like we are playing with less than a full epistemic deck.
