This was especially clear, structured and well thought out! Especially for such a difficult topic. (Perhaps first-person access makes everyone at least a partial expert?)
One approach is a historical perspective. 10,,000 years ago it was largely intelligent design (religion) very little science. Each millennia we attributed a little bit more to science. We haven't reliably attributed everything to science, but that's the trend. There is no particular reason to believe that will change, given the last 10,000 years. Do you think I'm missing anything?
