This whole issue could have been easier if Jesus made sure the Resurrection could be perceived as a historical fact. As you say, the evidence isn't conclusive. So clearly God chose to make it inconclusive. So to put in crude terms, God punishes those who are not gullible. Jesus made it easy for the Apostles to believe, and maybe other firsthand witnesses, but nobody else. Asymmetrical at the very least.
