Very fine article! A picture that emerges from reading it is that you could, in concept, chart each person's conceptual scheme with x being its hold on their mind and y being its departure from Kant's a priori (its absolutism?). A first thought thinking about this chart is that a person can be nearly any x/y but can only approach x or y being zero (free of all but Kant's a priori) or approach being 100% controlled by a conceptual scheme (a complete robot). The shape might be a bell curve with most people being in the middle. Philosophies like Foucault's or "sheeple" people's can "work" only by arbitrarily putting bounds on x/y values in order to make their point. While nobody transcends, some transcend more than others. Foucault's own transcendence is thus over the line implicit in his analysis but still not total.
