Very powerful thoughts, Steven, about the persona vis a vis the cosmos. To the extent other people are dedicated to serving their personas, it seems they can feel alienated by people less dedicated to preserving their own personas, as if saying: "Why aren't you serving your persona? Are you devaluing. my serving my persona? Isn't serving personas generally the highest mission in life?"
Also, in Stoic philosophy,, to the extent a person turns away from the persona and towards the cosmos, what life mission or missions, if any, open up? What, if anything, is one dedicated to? Does the cosmos have a mission?
