Well written, well argued -- and agreed on what you say about the role of philosophy, and about rejecting the way reactionaries frame things.

As philosophy-as-process, I think about engaging reactionaries in unpacking their ideas, although I realize that is impractical if not impossible. As you seem to say, if you did unpack them all the way, you'd likely find nothing but myths / superstitions fueled by negative emotions. The best they can usually do is dress their views up in pre-Enlightenment world-view / ideology.
