You make a lot of great observations and connections. Short of reading this again (which I want to do) I’m not sure what your arc or throughline is? It sounds like you’re saying the way our government works renders it unproductive and toxic for people, so we have become reptilian as citizens, thus toxic ourselves, and don’t act to fix the any of these problems. Yet I think these issues exacerbate but don’t really cause polarization. I think socio-economic developments do. Also, I think the reptilianism has not affected people uniformly, that some people are less reptilian than others. I don’t know how to explain the differences in reptilianism, although I don’t think it’s generational, I think it’s more cultural or socio-economic. I’m sharing my thoughts to suggest where I’m looking for the arc, throughline or thesis in your article, hoping you can share some further thoughts.
