Your articles are always good-or-great reading, however, this one is disappointing. I've thoroughly read both your sources and comments on them. It looks like you either stretched both sources to talk about learning Chinese, or didn't fully process your sources. Searle was saying the ability to execute a program does not entail being aware of the end-product of program execution. Wittgenstein was entirely concerned with people learning how to communicate with one another, as you did in China. Private language is about the nature of private experience. Wittgenstein believed two people could only talk about experiences they could both point to. (In that sense, "private language" is a misnomer.) Although they have little to nothing to do with one another, these are each fascinating topics about which there is lots more to talk about, including how they have been (mis)interpreted by other important thinkers (Dennett, Kripke, etc).
